Things only bloggers will understand. #bloggerproblems

As a blogger it can often feel like you are the only one in the world who can struggle with the little, let’s say frustrations the blogging world can throw at you. Perhaps it’s issues with WordPress , demanding brands or maybe you’re wondering whether to go self hosted and need some advice.

You also want to do more with your blog, know more and explore more. You want to continuously improve and discover what works, because maybe this will work for you. Talking to other bloggers (and not just via Twitter) can provide a wealth of opportunity and a real arena for sharing advice, knowledge and experience.

Cue Yorkshire Bloggers Lunch meets

From this need, our bi monthly Yorkshire Bloggers lunch meet ups were born.

Living in a city I have been fortunate enough to join a number of brilliant blogger networking events and have got to know a few faces quite well. After one workshop we all agreed we wanted a day to meet up away from any brands and work, chill –out, chat and enjoy a spot of lunch too (why not!).

We have since had two lunch meet ups so far. It’s really great to regularly meet up with a group of people who just “get” blogging.

We also use the lunch meet ups to explore different places in Yorkshire. There are so many amazing places to visit.

We plan to meet up every two months. The last one was in November when we met at Mill Kitchen in Farnsley. This time we visited Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds. Belgrave is an independent food venue with music, film and foodie corners across three floors. It has an almost bohemian feel to it which is right up my street. The food was really tasty and great value for money, in fact it was so good I visited again this weekend. They had a really quirky roof garden that would be ideal for a glass of wine or a cold beer (or five) when the weather gets warmer.

The next one will probably be In March. I will be tweeting under the #Yorkshirebloggers tag nearer the time.

So If you are a blogger and live in Yorkshire tweet me @_stylecreative and come along next time! Or if you don’t live nearby why not see if a there are like minded bloggers in your area and meet for lunch. Networking in a powerful thing. You never know what you could learn from a casual chat from a like minded person.

In the spirit of sharing the love, check out this list of awesome bloggers who came to January’s lunch meet.
