Autumn is now upon us. This brings with it an excuse to revamp the wardrobe with some autumnal essentials (As if we need an excuse!)
The perfect blazer. From A Supermarket!
Wait for it…I have found in Sainsbury’s supermarket the perfect checked Autumn Blazer and its only £30! This isn’t the first time I have posted about Sainsbur’y knocking it out of the park. They had a lush lemon tea dress last season, that equally had me abandoning the food isle and making a sharp turn down to the clothing section like a mad woman.
This blazer (pictured) is thick, warm, looks more expensive than it is and has a fabulous loud, design with a dark blue velvet trim.
Derek even spotted some swanky sort in Harvey Nichols in it; she was parading around with a Chanel bag and this jacket. Just goes to show; we all love a bargain. I teamed it with a red beret and ran brown hand made shoes, as I always think its good to have splashes of colour, especially as the days get darker. I think its the sort of jacket that will turn an office outfit from bland to brilliant in no time.
But isn’t supermarket fashion “mumsy”?
If you look at the new wave of ad campaigns, it does seem that the supermarkets it seems have left their “mumsy” appeal behind. They are now perfectly placed to compete with the high street, complete with brand spanking new websites with (very decent) lookbooks.
When you pop in to get your weekly groceries you can now get find some of the chicest fashion edits to this season, such as folk looks, preppy and all at great prices.
Many of these brands now deliver over seas- including Tescos F & F range who deliver to over 70 countries!
