This little post is about return of the mac. You will be pleased to know it has nothing to do with that horrendous Mark Morrison off the 90s (remember that song?!)
I recently received a lovely beige mac as a birthday present and I must say it is definitely living up to it’s reputation as a ‘great investment piece.’
My beige mac is from Mango and cost about £100. It’s well-made and the classic knee length design and good cut would give any Burberry a run for its money! There are loads of macs out there at this time of year to choose from. Here are my reasons why a classic mac is worth investing in:
– The great British summertime as we know has a tendency to be a little reluctant to stay with us for longer than a day or so. A mac is substantial enough to be a cover up on cooler days, yet is light enough for spring or summer when it’s a bit warmer
– The colour goes with anything
– Worn with a stripy top and you will always look that little bit French (now who doesn’t want that every now and then?)
– You can dress it up or down
– It’s instant smartness without trying -it makes a great work coat.
– It never goes out of fashion!
Return of the mac!
